Does MTTGolf work on Verizon Storm or Tour?
Yes, but if GPS fixing becomes a problem, you may need to upgrade to our latest build.
Where can I download the latest build of MTTGolf
Simply point your phone's browser to http://mttgolf.com and click "DownloadApp".
I hear Verizon locks their phone's GPS. If that's the case, can I still run
MTT Golf?
As far we know Verizon does not lock Storm's GPS as it does with some of its older
models. Even if your phone is locked, you can still use an external bluetooth GPS
receiver with MTTGolf .
Can I use an external GPS receiver with MTTGolf?
Yes, MTTGolf also support external bluetooth GPS. However, be
aware that bluetooth GPS receivers have a limited battery life. You may want to consider choosing one
that can last an entire round of golf
Do you charge for course data?
No, all course data are free to download and use.
Can I download course data from my computer?
Yes, you can download all course data to an SD
card, from BB MTT Golf we provide a file explorer where you can load from SD
Card directly. This way you don't have to use your data plan to enjoy MTT Golf.
Why are some courses missing data?
Although not all courses have data yet, various courses are being added everyday. If you are
the first to use MTTGolf on a specific course, its data is likely to be missing in our database. MTT is not obligated to provide
data for specific courses; however MTT does develop and maintain a website
for our users to add data to any specific course. Instructions for adding your data to MTTGolf's database is on our website.
In this manner, course data is updated
quickly to reflect any changes in the golf course.
How do I add a course to MTTGolf's Database?
We are trying to make adding data as easy as possible. Instructions can be found on http://mttgolf.com.
If you are familiar with a course's layout, we encourage you to add it to MTTGolf's database. It usually takes about 10-20
minutes to add an 18 hole course.
Can I add partial data for a course?
Yes, many users add only a few holes that they are
familair with. Course data can be added by different users progressively.
What if I added the wrong data?
If you added incorrect data you can simply restore the previous data. In the edit
data page you'll see "History", where you can restore data to any previous version.
My course does not have data, can you add it for me?
Yes, but you need to tell us where green is located.
Find the course in our web site, click "GreenLocation", you will see some markers.
You can drag the markers to approximate the green's location. It does not have to be accurate, it just tell us which green belongs which hole.
Then send us an email and we'll add it quickly. Of course you can always add it yourself, just click "EditGreen".
How long does it take to add a course?
If you add it yourself, it takes about 10-20 minutes. If you mark green's location and let us add it, it may take up to 1-2 days, in most cases.
How to activate the app?
When you purchase our app, RIM AppWorld will give you a serial number, enter it at "Help" screen in our app.
My phone cannot connect to MTT server, what can I do?
To fix network connection problem. Follow these steps.
If you are using MDS server(In this case your phone is connected to your corporate network), select "Use MDS" on Options screen.
If you are using WIFI(Only a few models have wifi), select "Use WIFI" on Options screen.
Otherwise select "Direct TCP" on Options screen.
When using direct TCP, you may need to set up APN for your phone.
For your convenience some APN information is listed here. But it is better for you to search the web to get
more information.
For example, if you are T-Mobile user, you can search for "T-Mobile APN" on web.
If not working, please call your service provider to get latest accurate information.
